CC week 5 Creation Station

This week for Chapter Challenge I did Creation Station by drawing a black bear. The reason why we had to draw it was that in the story while Sal, Francie, Jo, Humpfry and Becket on their way to New Colehaven a black bear was about to attack them but luckily Dumpling (one of the donkeys) scared it away with a loud screech. Out of a simple star a shooting star and a SUPERNOVA, I rate mine a supernova because I put a lot of thought into it.   

CC week 4 T1

This week for Chapter Chat I did research on vertical trains because, in our new Chapter Challenge book ( The Mapmakers Race ) Jo, Francie, Sal and Humphry left their mum behind at the train station, and then went on the vertical train. At first, I just wanted to do a poster but then Mrs Loft thought that I could make my drawing of a train moveable so that's what I did. Out of a simple star, a shooting star and a supernova as the best and I recon that my work is a SUPERNOVA!!!!!

 

Visual Pepeha reflection

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha.

I am most proud of fitting in all of my photos because I had a lot and they were also really big!

What I found challenging was sticking the two stars together but at the end mum and I did it. 

I worked with my mum to create my whanau star.

       

First blog post 2020

Something that has surprised me this week was that we could do all of the fun water activities as a team.


The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is going on the water slide to cool off from the heat and we couldn’t go to the pool.


A goal I have for myself this year is to be a really good role model to the year 5’s and be better than before.


What I am most looking forward to this year is getting into Chapter Chat to make really cool things.
