Whetu survivor celebration

Since recently we have been doing survivor rotations, the teachers have made a celebration day for us with three rotations.

Orienteering:
We did orienteering with miss Sowden. Before I did that rotation I had no clue what that word meant but after the rotation I learnt what the word meant. (trying to find things with a map as a race)
It was fun trying to find the letters around the school, but also it was really hard to find them on the map because they weren't exactly where the map directed them to be. Even though we were the last group to find all our letters we figured it out pretty fast.

Fire:
for our fire rotation, we as a group all had a turn using a flint and were pretty successful when we did. Then after that, we as a troop made a tipi out of sticks as if we were in a bush and wanted to make a fire. After all of the troops had done it, Mrs Kennedy tried to start a fire with newspaper and dry birds nest. Every time Mrs Kennedy tried to make a fire she made a really good spark but nothing would catch to the spark.

Food:
For the food rotation, we made a sweet and a savoury. A sweet banana filled with marshmallows and chocolate chips and a savoury potato filled with cheese and ham. out of ten, I rate my potato 8.5/10 because it was really good but after a while, it started to go gritty. I rate my banana a 9/10 because overall it was really good but also really messy to eat.
