Wharangi Tree

Did you know:
That the Wharangi Tree is part of the citrus family, its leaves have got oil glands on them. 
When the leaves are crushed they make a sent like lemon and lime.
The Maori would chew the gum from Wharangi for a cure of bad breath.

Where do you usually find it?
you can find the Wharangi tree in the North Cape to Nelson.

What different names does it have?
it only has two different names Melicope Ternata and Wharangi both really cool.


What does the Wharangi Tree look like? 
They have leaves arranged in groups of trees and they have wavey margins but still thin. they have a yellow-green colour.


How can humans use it? 
like I said earlier the Maori used the tree gum as gum to get away bad breath.
